📌 Key Responsibilities

• Serve food at canteen counters or during event catering assignments and maintain correct portioning as instructed by the supervisor.
• Set up and clean serving counters before each meal service including counter hygiene, serving spoons, and food label placement.
• Manage the serving queue at the canteen counter during peak meal hours and ensure orderly and efficient service flow.
• Wash, clean, and sanitise all tableware, trays, serving bowls, and cutlery used during each meal service period.
• Transport food from the kitchen to the serving counter in correctly sealed and labelled containers during service preparation.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining area including tables, chairs, and floor throughout the canteen service shift.
• Follow FSSAI personal hygiene guidelines including clean uniform, hairnet, gloves during serving, and regular handwashing.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• 12th pass certificate required; prior canteen or food service work experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Zero to two years of experience in catering service, hotel housekeeping, or institutional food service support roles.
• Physical fitness to stand throughout full canteen service shifts including busy breakfast, lunch, and dinner periods.
• Basic understanding of food hygiene and the importance of cleanliness in a food service and catering environment.
• Willingness to work early morning or evening shifts as required by the industrial or corporate catering site schedule.
• Good personal grooming and cleanliness standards as required for client-facing catering service roles.
• Teamwork-oriented attitude to support the canteen supervisor and kitchen team during high-volume service periods.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
