📌 Key Responsibilities

• Dispense medications prescribed by veterinarians accurately and in correct dosages
• Verify prescriptions for correctness, completeness, and potential drug interactions
• Maintain pharmacy stock including antibiotics, anaesthetics, vaccines, and supplements
• Manage controlled drug registers and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations
• Generate purchase orders for restocking and coordinate with drug suppliers
• Educate pet owners on medication dosages, administration routes, and storage requirements
• Maintain accurate dispensing records and billing documentation for all pharmacy transactions

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• D.Pharm (Diploma in Pharmacy) from a recognised pharmacy council institution
• Pharmacy council registration as required by the employing hospital
• Knowledge of common veterinary drugs, antiparasitic agents, vaccines, and dietary supplements
• Experience in a pharmacy or hospital dispensary with inventory management responsibility
• Ability to maintain controlled drug registers and comply with drug storage regulations
• Good numeracy for dosage calculations scaled to animal body weight
• Prior experience in a veterinary or human hospital pharmacy is an advantage
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
