📌 Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end warehouse and distribution centre operations across all shifts including inbound, outbound, storage, value-added services, and returns
• Manage the full warehouse headcount including supervisors, floor staff, forklift operators, and contract labour for daily operations and peak surges
• Accountable for all warehouse KPIs including fill rate, order accuracy, dock-to-stock, pick-pack productivity, inventory accuracy, and SLA adherence
• Serve as the primary operational contact for the client account and conduct regular client review meetings to present performance data and improvement actions
• Oversee WMS and ERP system integrity, ensure all transactions are completed accurately and on time, and authorize system corrections when required
• Prepare and manage the warehouse operational budget including labour, consumables, equipment maintenance, and utilities
• Enforce safety standards, fire drills, PPE compliance, and incident reporting protocols across all shifts and contract staff
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost per order, improve throughput, and enhance service quality for the client's supply chain

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduate or MBA from a recognized institution
• 4 - 10 Years of experience in warehouse operations with at least 2 years as a warehouse manager or senior supervisor at a 3PL or contract logistics site
• Demonstrated experience managing multi-shift DC operations with headcount of 50 or more people in a high-volume logistics environment
• Strong WMS and ERP proficiency for operational oversight, performance reporting, and inventory management
• Proven ability to manage client relationships, handle escalations, and present operational performance in formal client review meetings
• Sound understanding of warehouse safety standards, labour compliance, and CMVR or FSSAI requirements applicable to the client's product category
• Leadership capability to drive productivity improvement, reduce operational costs, and build a performance-driven warehouse team culture
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
