📌 Key Responsibilities

• Build and customise WordPress websites for agency clients using custom themes, Elementor or Divi page builders, and WooCommerce for e-commerce requirements
• Develop and modify WordPress child themes and custom templates to match client design specifications delivered by the UI/UX design team
• Configure and customise WordPress plugins for SEO, forms, caching, security, and e-commerce functionality based on project requirements
• Optimise WordPress website performance for Core Web Vitals by implementing caching strategies, image compression, and code minification
• Set up and manage WooCommerce stores including product catalogue configuration, payment gateway integration, and checkout flow optimisation
• Maintain and update WordPress installations, themes, and plugins regularly to ensure security, compatibility, and performance standards are met
• Troubleshoot and resolve WordPress errors, plugin conflicts, and hosting environment issues reported by clients or account managers

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• 0 to 4 years of WordPress development experience with a portfolio of live websites demonstrating custom theme and plugin work
• Proficiency in PHP for writing custom WordPress functions, template tags, and hooks in functions.php and custom plugin files
• Strong command of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for front-end customisation of WordPress themes and page builder elements
• Experience with Elementor Pro or Divi Builder for designing and building responsive client websites without heavy custom coding
• Knowledge of WooCommerce setup, configuration, and customisation for building online stores on the WordPress platform
• Understanding of WordPress performance optimisation including use of WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache, Smush, and CDN configuration
• Familiarity with cPanel hosting, FTP file management, phpMyAdmin, and basic server management for deploying and maintaining WordPress sites
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
