📌 Key Responsibilities

• Teach Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry subjects covering crude drug study, phytoconstituent extraction and characterization, herbal drug standardization, and nutraceuticals to B.Pharm and M.Pharm students
• Conduct pharmacognosy practical sessions on macroscopical and microscopical identification, phytochemical screening, TLC fingerprinting, and plant extract standardization
• Prepare OBE-aligned lesson plans, internal assessments, and university examination papers for pharmacognosy
• Guide M.Pharm Pharmacognosy dissertation students in phytochemical work, biological activity screening, and thesis writing
• Publish natural product and phytochemistry research in peer-reviewed journals
• Maintain the pharmacognosy herbarium, crude drug collection, and reference material for PCI inspection readiness
• Participate in pharmacy education and natural product research conferences and faculty development programmes

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• M.Pharm in Pharmacognosy from a PCI-recognized institution
• Ph.D. in Pharmacognosy or Phytochemistry preferred for senior roles
• 3 - 8 Years of pharmacy college teaching experience with pharmacognosy as the primary subject
• Strong knowledge of pharmacognostic identification, phytochemical extraction, and herbal drug standardization methods
• Practical proficiency in TLC, HPLC-based fingerprinting, and preliminary phytochemical screening techniques
• Research interest in natural product isolation, ethnopharmacology, or herbal formulation development
• Ability to maintain pharmacognosy herbarium and crude drug collection in PCI inspection-ready condition
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
