📋 Job Description

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and documentation process for assigned residential or commercial projects from concept through construction.
• Prepare and coordinate complete working drawing sets and ensure all consultant drawings are integrated accurately.
• Present design schemes, design development updates, and working drawing packages to clients.
• Manage building plan approval submissions to CMDA or local bodies and respond to queries from the approving authority.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, landscape, and interior consultants throughout the design and documentation phase.
• Conduct regular site visits to resolve drawing queries, review construction quality, and issue site instructions.
• Manage drawing revisions, RFI responses, and design change management throughout the construction stage.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.Arch from a COA-recognized institution with valid COA registration as a practising architect.
• 2 to 6 years of experience at a private architecture firm with demonstrated project design and documentation ownership.
• Ability to independently manage the complete design process for a residential or mid-scale commercial project.
• Knowledge of CMDA building plan approval process, development regulations, and building bye-laws in Coimbatore.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; SketchUp or Revit depending on the firm's software platform and project requirements.
• Strong client communication and presentation skills for design review and approval meetings.
• Understanding of structural systems, MEP coordination requirements, and construction detailing for the building type.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
