📌 Key Responsibilities

• Assist the director on set by managing floor schedules, co-ordinating cast call times, and ensuring scenes are shot according to the daily shooting plan
• Break down the screenplay into scene-wise shooting schedules and prepare detailed script breakdown sheets for production planning
• Supervise continuity on set by tracking costume, prop, and actor positioning details between shots and across shooting days
• Co-ordinate with the production manager, art department, and camera team to ensure sets, props, and equipment are ready before each shot
• Prepare shot lists and floor plans in consultation with the director and communicate scene requirements to department heads before each schedule
• Manage junior crew and spot boys on set and ensure discipline, safety, and orderly workflow throughout the shooting day
• Read and interpret Tamil language scripts, dialogue, and scene notes to assist the director in communicating vision to Tamil-speaking cast and crew
• Compile daily shoot reports covering scenes covered, pending shots, and deviations from schedule for the production manager's review

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduate or Diploma in Film Direction, Mass Communication, or Visual Communication from a recognised film institute or university
• Hands-on experience as a floor assistant or third or second AD on at least one Tamil short film, ad film, or feature film production
• Ability to read and break down Tamil language screenplays into scene-wise schedules and shot requirement lists
• Strong knowledge of film set workflow including department hierarchy, shot terminology, and the role of each crew member on a Tamil film floor
• Good organisational and time management skills to manage daily floor schedules and adapt quickly when shooting plans change
• Clear Tamil and basic English communication skills for co-ordinating between director, cast, and production departments on set
• Familiarity with script breakdown software or spreadsheet-based scheduling tools used in Tamil film production planning
• Ability to work long and irregular hours on location and studio shoots as required by Tamil film production schedules
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
