📌 Key Responsibilities

• Operate the follow focus system to maintain precise focus on moving subjects and during complex camera movements as directed by the DOP
• Prepare the camera department before each shoot day by assembling, testing, and configuring camera bodies, lenses, and support equipment
• Maintain lens calibration and focus marks for each setup, ensuring consistency across multiple takes and camera angles
• Operate the clapperboard and maintain accurate camera reports for each take, recording lens data, focus distances, and shot information
• Handle all camera department equipment with care, including loading and unloading lenses, batteries, memory cards, and camera accessories
• Assist the DOP and camera operator in rigging the camera on cranes, jibs, gimbals, and other support systems for specialised shots
• Co-ordinate with the DIT (Digital Imaging Technician) for daily media management, offloading, and data verification on digital productions
• Pack, transport, and return all camera equipment to rental houses at the end of each shooting day or schedule in proper condition

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• 0 to 3 years of experience as a camera assistant or second AC on Tamil film, ad film, or OTT productions
• Diploma in Cinematography or a related film production qualification from a recognised institute
• Practical knowledge of cinema camera systems including how to assemble, configure, and operate ARRI, Sony, or Red cameras and lens systems
• Demonstrated ability to pull focus accurately in moving shots and under pressure during live action filming on Tamil film sets
• Strong attention to detail for maintaining accurate camera reports, lens data logs, and equipment condition records
• Physically capable of handling heavy camera equipment and working long hours on demanding outdoor and studio shoots
• Good communication and teamwork skills for co-ordinating with the DOP, camera operator, and other departments on set
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.

Diploma or Graduate in Film Directing or Mass Communication for assistant director roles; Diploma or Graduate in Cinematography for camera and DOP roles; Diploma in Sound Engineering for audio and sound design roles; Graduate in Visual Communication for editing and VFX roles; NFTS, LV Prasad Film Institute, or FTII courses for technical production roles; knowledge of Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Premiere Pro for editing roles; Nuke, After Effects, and Maya for VFX and animation; Tamil language fluency is essential for all creative and production roles in Tamil cinema
