📌 Key Responsibilities

• Design and source costumes for all characters in Tamil film and OTT productions in consultation with the director and production designer
• Develop character wardrobe plans for each role based on script analysis, character backstory, socio-economic setting, and period or contemporary context
• Source fabrics, garments, and accessories from Coimbatore's textile markets, boutiques, and suppliers within the production's approved costume budget
• Manage costume continuity across all shooting days and multiple locations, tracking each character's outfit state for each scene
• Co-ordinate fittings and alterations for principal cast with tailors and costume technicians to ensure the correct fit and look on camera
• Supervise on-set costume maintenance, quick changes, and continuity adjustments throughout each shooting day
• Research Tamil cultural dress codes, regional aesthetics, and period-accurate clothing to ensure authenticity in historical or culturally specific productions

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• 0 to 4 years of experience in costume design or wardrobe styling for Tamil film, OTT, ad film, or stage productions
• Diploma or Graduate in Fashion Design, Costume Design, or a related discipline from a recognised institution
• Strong understanding of Tamil cultural fashion, traditional dress, and contemporary styling trends relevant to Tamil film and OTT storytelling
• Ability to source costumes efficiently from Coimbatore's fabric markets and garment suppliers within production budget constraints
• Good organisational skills for managing multi-character costume inventories, continuity records, and on-set costume logistics
• Creative eye for colour, texture, and silhouette and the ability to translate character descriptions from a script into a coherent visual wardrobe
• Ability to work long hours on Tamil film sets and co-ordinate with the director, production designer, and DOP on costume colour and style approvals
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
