📌 Key Responsibilities

• Own the P and L for one or more e-commerce categories including revenue targets, margin goals, and return rate management
• Plan and optimize the product assortment by identifying gaps, onboarding new sellers or brands, and managing range exits
• Develop pricing strategies and promotional plans to maximize category GMV while protecting contribution margin
• Analyze category performance data including GMV, conversion, returns, and customer ratings to identify growth levers
• Lead seller development initiatives to improve listing quality, stock availability, and fulfilment standards within the category
• Collaborate with marketing teams on category-specific campaigns, homepage banners, and paid placement strategies
• Conduct competitive benchmarking to identify pricing gaps, assortment opportunities, and emerging trends in the category

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• MBA from a reputed institution with demonstrated category management or e-commerce growth experience
• 3 - 8 Years of experience in e-commerce category management, retail buying, or marketplace category growth
• Strong P and L understanding with the ability to analyze gross margin, return rates, and contribution margin by category
• Experience with assortment planning, seller or brand onboarding, and range performance analysis
• Proficiency in Excel or SQL for category data analysis and business performance reporting
• Excellent negotiation skills for seller and brand partnerships, pricing agreements, and promotional terms
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership to align marketing, operations, and tech teams on category goals
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
