📌 Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute functional test cases for embedded firmware and hardware systems
• Perform HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) testing for automotive ECU validation against requirements
• Use JTAG boundary scan to test PCB interconnects and identify assembly defects
• Write Python or TCL-based test automation scripts for regression testing of firmware builds
• Log and track defects in JIRA with accurate reproduction steps and waveform evidence
• Use Vector CANoe or similar tools to simulate CAN network loads for ECU testing
• Support firmware release testing and prepare test reports for project sign-off

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• How do you write a systematic test plan for a new embedded firmware feature?
• What is HIL testing and how does it differ from SIL (Software-in-the-Loop) testing?
• How do you use JTAG boundary scan to test connectivity between ICs on a PCB?
• Have you used Python with pyserial or pytest for embedded firmware test automation?
• How do you validate UART communication between two embedded modules in a test?
• Describe a regression test suite you have built for an embedded firmware project.
• How do you reproduce and document a firmware bug that occurs intermittently?
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
