📌 Key Responsibilities

• Perform single-visit and multi-visit root canal treatment on anterior, premolar, and molar teeth using nickel-titanium rotary file systems with electronic apex location and canal irrigation protocols.
• Interpret CBCT volumes for complex endodontic cases including calcified canals, missed canals, root fractures, and periapical pathology requiring three-dimensional assessment.
• Manage failed root canal retreatment cases by removing existing gutta-percha, post removal if indicated, re-instrumentation of canals, and obturation with thermoplastic techniques.
• Perform periapical surgery (apicectomy) with root-end resection and retrograde MTA or Biodentine filling for cases where non-surgical retreatment is not feasible.
• Apply rubber dam isolation for all root canal procedures and manage cases using the dental operating microscope for improved canal identification and file control.
• Perform indirect and direct pulp capping procedures for deep caries cases with the goal of vital pulp preservation using biocompatible pulp capping materials.
• Restore root canal-treated teeth with post and core foundations where indicated and plan the final crown restoration in coordination with the restorative dentist or lab.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• MDS Endodontics or MDS Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics from a DCI-recognised dental institution with valid DCI and Tamil Nadu Dental Council registration.
• Clinical proficiency in rotary endodontics using nickel-titanium file systems including canal preparation, irrigation, and warm or cold gutta-percha obturation techniques.
• Experience in managing complex endodontic cases including multi-rooted molar root canals, calcified canal negotiation, and single-visit molar RCT.
• Ability to perform non-surgical retreatment including removal of failed gutta-percha, fractured instruments if feasible, and re-obturation of retreated canals.
• Competency in periapical surgical procedures including apicectomy with ultrasonic root-end preparation and MTA retrograde seal for periapical lesion management.
• Proficiency in dental operating microscope use for canal identification, instrument retrieval attempts, and microsurgical endodontic procedures.
• Willingness to manage a high appointment volume in a dental chain environment including same-day emergency walk-in patients with acute pulpitis and periapical abscess presentations.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
