📌 Key Responsibilities

• Lead all academic, administrative, and operational activities of the Computer Engineering or IT diploma department
• Coordinate DOTE affiliation compliance including faculty qualifications, lab infrastructure, software licensing, and course file standards
• Prepare the department for DOTE inspections and ensure computer labs, faculty files, and student records meet all requirements
• Manage faculty allocation, timetable, and academic workload across computer engineering lecturers and lab technicians
• Monitor student attendance, internal assessment, SBTET result trends, and initiate academic support for weak students
• Oversee computer lab operations, software updates, and vendor coordination in collaboration with lab technicians
• Represent the CSE/IT department at institution-level academic committees and liaise with management on department development needs

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, or MCA with senior DOTE faculty grade, or Diploma in Computer Engineering with HOD-level experience
• 8 - 18 Years of polytechnic teaching experience with at least 3 years in HOD or senior department leadership role
• Strong knowledge of DOTE norms, SBTET examination system, and Computer Engineering diploma curriculum
• Familiarity with computer lab management, software licensing norms, and hardware maintenance oversight
• Good communication, planning, and faculty management skills
• Demonstrated track record in DOTE inspection preparation and student outcome improvement
• Commitment to keeping the department's technical curriculum current and relevant to Coimbatore IT industry needs
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
