📌 Key Responsibilities

• Lead all academic, administrative, and operational activities of the Mechanical Engineering diploma department
• Coordinate DOTE affiliation compliance for the Mechanical department including faculty-student ratios, infrastructure norms, and course file standards
• Prepare the department for DOTE inspections and ensure all physical and documentation requirements are met
• Manage faculty allocation, timetable, leave, and academic workload across lecturers and workshop instructors
• Monitor student attendance, internal assessment performance, SBTET result analysis, and take corrective actions
• Guide senior faculty in curriculum delivery, project evaluation, and DOTE examination coordination
• Represent the Mechanical department at academic committee meetings and liaise with management on department needs

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical with senior DOTE lecturer grade
• 8 - 18 Years of polytechnic teaching experience with at least 3 years in HOD or senior faculty role
• Strong knowledge of DOTE norms, SBTET examination system, and diploma Mechanical curriculum
• Demonstrated leadership in managing faculty teams and department academic planning
• Ability to prepare DOTE inspection documents, course files, and student records comprehensively
• Good communication and administrative skills for faculty management and management reporting
• Commitment to student outcome improvement and department academic quality
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
