📌 Key Responsibilities

• Classify and catalogue nursing textbooks, reference books, and allied health materials using Dewey Decimal Classification
• Manage KOHA library management system for book issue, return, renewal, and OPAC maintenance for students and faculty
• Handle INFLIBNET N-LIST access, PubMed, CINAHL, and nursing journal subscriptions for faculty research support
• Maintain subscriptions to nursing journals including Journal of Nursing Research, Indian Journal of Nursing Studies, and international nursing publications
• Conduct periodic stock verification, book weeding, and maintain the library for INC inspection readiness
• Assist students with literature survey and Shodhganga PG thesis access for nursing research projects
• Support anti-plagiarism checking of student dissertations using iThenticate or Turnitin

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.Lib.I.Sc., MLISc, or TNPGDL (Tamil Nadu Postgraduate Diploma in Library Science)
• 0 - 3 Years of library experience in a nursing college, medical college, or health science institution
• Proficiency in KOHA Library Management System
• Familiarity with healthcare and nursing databases: PubMed, CINAHL, MEDLINE, and INFLIBNET N-LIST
• Knowledge of Dewey Decimal Classification for nursing and paramedical subjects
• Good computer proficiency and interpersonal skills for student and faculty support
• Awareness of INC library norms for nursing colleges regarding book count, journals, and digital access
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
