📌 Key Responsibilities
- Collect and process blood, urine, faecal, and cytology samples from small animals
- Perform complete blood counts, biochemistry panels, and urinalysis using veterinary analysers
- Conduct microscopic examination of samples including skin scrapings and ear swabs
- Assist in PCR-based testing for infectious disease diagnosis
- Maintain lab equipment calibration and quality control records
- Report diagnostic results accurately in the clinic software and flag critical values to the vet
- Manage reagent stocks, consumable inventory, and biosafety protocols in the laboratory
🎓 Qualifications and Requirements
- B.Sc. in Medical Lab Technology or Diploma in Clinical Lab Technology from a recognised institution
- Knowledge of veterinary diagnostic parameters and reference ranges for dogs and cats
- Experience with haematology and biochemistry analysers such as IDEXX or Mindray
- Competency in microscopy for cytology, urine sediment, and parasite identification
- Understanding of biosafety standards and proper handling of biological specimens
- Ability to maintain accurate records and generate diagnostic reports
- Experience in a veterinary or human pathology lab is preferred
- Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
