📌 Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating theatre including instrument sterilisation and sterile field setup
- Assist the surgeon during small animal soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures
- Monitor anaesthesia depth and vitals throughout surgical procedures
- Maintain IV lines, fluid rates, and drug administration records during surgery
- Provide post-operative nursing care including wound monitoring and pain assessment
- Educate pet owners on post-operative home care instructions
- Maintain OT hygiene and equipment readiness between surgical cases
🎓 Qualifications and Requirements
- Para-Veterinary Diploma (D.V.L.S.) with specific training in surgical nursing and OT assistance
- Knowledge of small animal anaesthesia monitoring parameters and emergency responses
- Experience in instrument preparation, sterile draping, and surgical field maintenance
- Ability to calculate and administer drug doses under veterinary supervision
- Familiarity with post-operative care protocols for soft tissue and orthopaedic cases
- Good observation skills to detect early signs of anaesthetic complications
- Willingness to work on-call shifts for emergency surgical cases
- Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
