📌 Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive oral examinations including charting, X-ray interpretation, and clinical assessment to establish diagnoses and develop patient treatment plans.
• Carry out direct and indirect restorative procedures including composite resin fillings, glass ionomer restorations, and temporary and permanent crown cementation.
• Perform single-visit and multi-visit root canal treatment on anterior and premolar teeth using rotary endodontic systems and apex locators.
• Execute routine and surgical extractions including erupted wisdom tooth removal and residual root retrieval under local anaesthesia.
• Conduct scaling and polishing, root surface debridement for gingivitis and early periodontitis, and apply fluoride treatments for caries prevention.
• Take final impressions for crown and bridge preparations, coordinate with the dental lab for fabrication, and deliver final restorations with appropriate occlusal adjustment.
• Manage paediatric dental appointments including pulpotomy, stainless steel crown placement, space maintainer fitting, and topical fluoride application for child patients.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• BDS degree from a DCI-recognised dental college with valid DCI registration and Tamil Nadu Dental Council registration prior to independent clinical practice.
• Clinical proficiency in restorative dentistry including composite filling, cavity preparation, and bonding techniques for anterior and posterior teeth.
• Competency in performing single-visit root canal treatment on anterior and premolar teeth using rotary endodontic files and electronic apex locators.
• Ability to perform routine tooth extractions and basic surgical extractions using correct forcep and elevator techniques under inferior alveolar nerve block and local infiltration anaesthesia.
• Sound knowledge of dental materials including composite resins, glass ionomer cements, impression materials, luting cements, and their clinical indications.
• Good patient communication skills in Tamil and English for explaining diagnoses, treatment plans, costs, and post-operative instructions with clarity and empathy.
• Willingness to work within a multi-dentist dental chain environment, follow chain treatment protocols, and meet appointment throughput targets set by the clinic management.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
