📌 Key Responsibilities

• Assess implant candidacy through clinical examination, medical history review, and CBCT analysis of bone volume, density, sinus proximity, and nerve canal position.
• Plan implant position, angulation, length, and diameter using digital implant planning software on CBCT volumes, with or without surgical stent fabrication.
• Place endosseous dental implants for single tooth replacements, multiple tooth gaps, and full-arch rehabilitation including immediate loading protocols where bone quality permits.
• Perform bone augmentation procedures including guided bone regeneration with barrier membranes, autogenous or xenograft bone block grafts, and ridge splitting for deficient ridge sites.
• Execute sinus lift procedures including lateral window sinus augmentation and crestal sinus osteotome technique for implant placement in the posterior maxilla with inadequate bone height.
• Manage immediate implant placement and loading cases where extraction sockets and bone quality meet protocol criteria, coordinating temporary restoration with the dental lab.
• Oversee the full implant prosthetic phase by coordinating with the in-house dental lab for abutment selection, implant crown or bridge fabrication, and final prosthesis delivery and occlusal verification.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• BDS or MDS from a DCI-recognised institution with a recognised postgraduate diploma or certificate in implant dentistry and a documented case portfolio demonstrating surgical competence.
• Proficiency in single tooth implant placement, multi-unit implant placement, and full-arch implant rehabilitation using immediate or delayed loading protocols.
• Competency in CBCT implant planning using digital planning software including implant positioning, angulation optimisation, and virtual surgical stent design.
• Experience in bone augmentation procedures including guided bone regeneration, bone block grafting, and sinus lift for implant site preparation in deficient ridges.
• Ability to manage the full implant prosthetic workflow from impression taking or digital scanning to abutment selection, crown delivery, and occlusal equilibration.
• Knowledge of immediate implant placement and loading protocols, case selection criteria, and risk factors including bone quality, parafunctional habits, and systemic conditions.
• Communication skills for presenting implant treatment plans to patients including cost, treatment stages, healing timelines, and long-term maintenance requirements.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
