📌 Key Responsibilities

• Receive customer jewellery for repair and assess the scope of work required during intake inspection
• Perform ring sizing, bangle reshaping, and length adjustment on gold and silver jewellery
• Repair broken chains, clasps, and links through soldering and link replacement
• Re-set loose or fallen stones and tighten prong settings on diamond and studded jewellery
• Apply rhodium plating or gold re-plating on white gold and silver pieces as required
• Polish and buff repaired jewellery pieces to restore original sheen and surface finish
• Track repair job cards and ensure timely completion within committed customer delivery timelines

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• ITI certificate in Goldsmithing, Watchmaking, or equivalent trade; or apprenticeship with a goldsmith
• One to five years of hands-on jewellery repair experience covering gold, silver, and studded pieces
• Proficiency in soldering, prong tightening, stone re-setting, and polishing techniques
• Experience operating polishing machines, buffing tools, and soldering equipment
• Dexterity and precision in handling delicate gold and diamond jewellery during repair
• Ability to assess repair feasibility and provide accurate cost and time estimates to customers
• Basic knowledge of rhodium and gold plating procedures for white gold and silver pieces
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
