📌 Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling support for students in academic, social-emotional, and personal domains
• Guide students through university and higher education application processes including international university research
• Develop and deliver social-emotional learning (SEL) programmes across grade levels
• Collaborate with teachers and parents on student wellbeing, learning needs, and behaviour plans
• Maintain confidential student records in line with school policy and safeguarding protocols
• Conduct orientations and transition support sessions for new students joining mid-cycle
• Liaise with external mental health professionals for students requiring specialist intervention

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• M.Sc. in Psychology or Counseling Psychology from a recognised institution
• Minimum two years of school counseling experience, preferably in an international school setting
• Knowledge of international university application platforms such as Common App and UCAS
• Familiarity with IB Learner Profile and Cambridge approaches to student wellbeing
• Strong ability to build trusted relationships with students across diverse cultural backgrounds
• Skilled in maintaining confidentiality and adhering to child safeguarding frameworks
• Experience with social-emotional learning programme design and delivery
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Chennai.
