📌 Key Responsibilities

• Support the centre manager in day-to-day operations by supervising morning or evening shift staff, overseeing member check-in flow, and ensuring the facility is running to standard.
• Manage the centre independently during shifts when the centre manager is absent by making operational decisions, handling escalations, and ensuring all team members fulfill their assigned duties.
• Monitor member satisfaction during floor visits and post-workout interactions, address minor complaints promptly, and escalate unresolved issues to the centre manager with full context.
• Support the sales counsellor team by reviewing daily lead follow-up activity, assisting with floor tour conversions during busy periods, and providing sales target progress updates to the centre manager.
• Coordinate trainer schedules and group class coverage by managing last-minute trainer substitutions, filling slots where possible, and communicating schedule changes to members in advance.
• Track gym consumable and cleaning supply inventory, raise replenishment requests before stock reaches minimum levels, and coordinate delivery receipt and storage.
• Manage the centre opening and closing procedures including equipment power checks, security procedures, cash float management, and end-of-day attendance and revenue reconciliation.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduate in any discipline with 1 to 4 years of experience in gym operations, fitness centre front desk, sales support, or a supervisory role in a service-sector environment.
• Ability to supervise a team of trainers, sales counsellors, front desk executives, and floor attendants across shift periods with accountability for team performance.
• Good member interaction skills for monitoring satisfaction on the floor, handling minor complaints, and escalating unresolved issues to the centre manager accurately.
• Familiarity with gym management software for attendance monitoring, sales reporting, membership status checks, and daily operational dashboards.
• Basic sales support skills for assisting the sales counsellor team with floor tour conversions, package presentations, and daily lead pipeline reviews.
• Inventory management awareness for tracking consumable stock levels, raising replenishment requests, and coordinating delivery receipt at the centre.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts including early morning opens and late evening closings and to manage the centre independently during the centre manager's absence.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.

ISSA, ACE, NASM or equivalent personal trainer certification for fitness trainer roles; BSc in Physical Education or Sports Science for fitness consultant and trainer roles; nutritional certification from NIN or IGNOU for nutrition counsellor roles; CPR and first aid certification for all gym floor staff; aerobics and group fitness instructor certification for group class roles; yoga TTC (200-hour or 300-hour) for yoga instructor roles; Diploma in Sports Management for centre manager and operations roles; MBA or Graduate for sales, marketing, and centre manager roles; swimming coach certification from Swimming Federation of India for pool roles if applicable
