📌 Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the gym centre branch including staff scheduling, member flow, equipment readiness, hygiene standards, and customer experience quality.
• Own the branch P and L by monitoring daily membership sales, collections, personal training revenue, and ancillary income against monthly targets and reporting variances to the area manager.
• Lead and manage the centre team including fitness trainers, sales counsellors, front desk executives, floor attendants, and housekeeping staff by setting clear targets and conducting regular performance reviews.
• Oversee the membership sales process by coaching the sales counsellor team, reviewing the lead pipeline, supporting high-value prospect closures, and ensuring monthly membership target achievement.
• Drive member experience and retention by monitoring member satisfaction metrics, addressing complaints promptly, managing member churn risk, and implementing engagement and loyalty initiatives.
• Manage gym centre inventory including equipment consumables, cleaning supplies, and operational materials by monitoring stock levels, raising purchase orders, and coordinating with procurement.
• Prepare weekly and monthly branch performance reports covering membership growth, revenue, attrition, class attendance, trainer utilisation, and facility maintenance status for submission to the area manager.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduate in any discipline or MBA with at least 3 years of operations or management experience in a gym chain, fitness centre, or outpatient service environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage gym centre P and L with accountability for membership revenue, personal training sales, collections, and operational cost control.
• People management experience including staff scheduling, performance target setting, coaching of trainers and sales staff, and managing team accountability in a fitness centre environment.
• Strong membership sales coaching skills with the ability to review lead pipelines, support counsellor performance, and personally close high-value membership or package deals.
• Member experience focus with the ability to monitor satisfaction metrics, resolve complaints effectively, manage member churn risk, and design retention programmes.
• Inventory and vendor management skills for maintaining gym operational supplies, coordinating with the chain's procurement team, and preventing stockouts.
• Proficiency in gym management software for attendance tracking, sales reporting, membership analytics, and daily operations oversight.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.

ISSA, ACE, NASM or equivalent personal trainer certification for fitness trainer roles; BSc in Physical Education or Sports Science for fitness consultant and trainer roles; nutritional certification from NIN or IGNOU for nutrition counsellor roles; CPR and first aid certification for all gym floor staff; aerobics and group fitness instructor certification for group class roles; yoga TTC (200-hour or 300-hour) for yoga instructor roles; Diploma in Sports Management for centre manager and operations roles; MBA or Graduate for sales, marketing, and centre manager roles; swimming coach certification from Swimming Federation of India for pool roles if applicable
