📌 Key Responsibilities

• Manage member check-in at the front desk using the gym management software by scanning membership cards or biometric access, recording attendance, and greeting members on arrival.
• Handle membership enquiries from walk-in guests and phone callers by providing information on membership packages, class schedules, trainer availability, and centre facilities.
• Register walk-in guests for trial sessions, guest passes, or day passes, collect the appropriate fee, issue entry access, and log the guest details in the visitor register.
• Process membership fee payments including monthly installments, annual renewals, and add-on service fees in cash, UPI, and card modes and issue payment receipts.
• Provide accurate information on the weekly group class schedule, class timings, instructor names, and slot availability when members query class bookings at the front desk.
• Log member complaints, feedback, and facility maintenance requests in the CRM or physical log book and escalate unresolved issues to the centre manager in a timely manner.
• Coordinate member locker allocation, key issuance, and lost locker key replacements while maintaining a locker assignment register and ensuring the locker room facility operates smoothly.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduate in any discipline with good verbal communication skills in Tamil and English for handling member check-in, guest enquiries, and front desk interactions professionally.
• Familiarity with gym management software or HMS systems for membership attendance tracking, payment processing, and guest registration workflows.
• Basic knowledge of common gym membership types, class schedule formats, and add-on service options to answer member queries accurately at the front desk.
• Ability to process cash, UPI, and card payments accurately, issue receipts, and maintain a tidy payment record aligned with the centre's daily billing process.
• Good interpersonal skills for greeting members warmly, managing peak check-in rush periods, and maintaining a positive first impression of the fitness centre.
• Ability to log member complaints and feedback accurately and escalate issues to the centre manager with the relevant details for timely resolution.
• Basic computer proficiency for CRM data entry, attendance report access, and daily membership activity log maintenance.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.

🏆 Certifications and Qualifications

ISSA, ACE, NASM or equivalent personal trainer certification for fitness trainer roles; BSc in Physical Education or Sports Science for fitness consultant and trainer roles; nutritional certification from NIN or IGNOU for nutrition counsellor roles; CPR and first aid certification for all gym floor staff; aerobics and group fitness instructor certification for group class roles; yoga TTC (200-hour or 300-hour) for yoga instructor roles; Diploma in Sports Management for centre manager and operations roles; MBA or Graduate for sales, marketing, and centre manager roles; swimming coach certification from Swimming Federation of India for pool roles if applicable
