📌 Key Responsibilities

• Lead the seasonal apparel range planning process including trend analysis, range curating, and category mix decisions
• Manage the open-to-buy (OTB) budget across categories and track spend versus plan throughout the buying cycle
• Identify and negotiate with vendors to secure competitive pricing, quality standards, and delivery timelines
• Analyse sell-through performance by style, colour, and size to inform markdown decisions and future range planning
• Drive category gross margin targets by balancing full-price sell-through with timely markdown execution
• Coordinate with the VM team on planogram planning and with the store operations team on new style introduction timelines
• Maintain strong vendor relationships and evaluate supplier performance against quality, delivery, and compliance metrics

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• MBA in Fashion Management, Retail Management, or Graduate in Fashion Merchandising from a recognised institution
• Four to ten years of apparel buying or merchandising experience in a fashion retail or apparel brand environment
• Demonstrated experience managing open-to-buy budgets and achieving category margin targets
• Strong analytical skills for sell-through tracking, markdown planning, and range performance reporting
• Proficiency in retail buying systems, ERP procurement modules, and MS Excel for buying analysis
• Deep knowledge of apparel trend forecasting, range curating, and vendor sourcing within the fashion sector
• Experience coordinating across store operations, VM, and finance teams in a cross-functional buying role
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
