📌 Key Responsibilities

• Assist the buying manager in selecting seasonal apparel ranges by researching trends and competitor activity
• Coordinate with vendors on sample submission timelines, quality approvals, and price negotiation support
• Track open-to-buy (OTB) budgets and flag deviations to the buying manager for corrective action
• Create and track purchase orders from issuance through delivery, quality check, and goods receipt
• Analyse sell-through data by style, colour, and size to inform buying decisions for the next season
• Maintain buying trackers, order logs, and vendor contact databases in organised digital formats
• Attend trade fairs and vendor showrooms with the buying manager to evaluate seasonal collections

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduate in Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Design, Retail Management, or Business Administration
• Zero to three years of experience in apparel buying, fashion merchandising, or product development
• Understanding of open-to-buy planning, purchase order lifecycle, and apparel supply chain basics
• Strong analytical skills for sell-through analysis and style-level performance reporting
• Familiarity with fashion trend research methods and competitor range analysis
• Proficiency in MS Excel for buying trackers, OTB monitoring, and style-wise performance analysis
• Freshers from fashion management or retail management programmes with strong academic records are eligible
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
