📌 Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the enterprise information security strategy, programme roadmap, and security governance framework for the organisation or client advisory engagement.
• Oversee all aspects of the information security function including SOC operations, GRC, application security, cloud security, identity management, and incident response.
• Lead the organisation's response to major security incidents, acting as executive incident commander and primary liaison to board, legal, and regulatory stakeholders during crises.
• Present the information security programme, risk posture, and security investment strategy to the board of directors, executive committee, and external auditors.
• Manage the information security budget, vendor relationships, and technology investment portfolio ensuring optimal allocation of resources to highest-priority risks.
• Drive regulatory compliance across applicable frameworks including RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and DPDP Act, ensuring audit readiness and regulatory engagement.
• Build and sustain a security-aware organisational culture through executive sponsorship of awareness programmes, security training, and security champion initiatives across the enterprise.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.E. or B.Tech in Computer Science or related engineering discipline with fifteen to twenty-eight years of progressive information security experience including senior leadership roles.
• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) is required; CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) from ISACA is an additional strong qualification for CISO positions.
• Demonstrated track record of building, leading, and transforming enterprise information security programmes at the organisational or advisory level.
• Deep experience in information security risk governance, security budget management, vendor oversight, and regulatory compliance at enterprise scale.
• Proven ability to communicate complex security risk, investment rationale, and programme performance to board-level and executive audiences in business terms.
• Broad knowledge across all security domains including SOC and threat detection, GRC, cloud security, application security, identity, and data protection.
• Experience managing security in regulated industry environments such as BFSI, healthcare, or IT services in the Indian context, including engagement with RBI, SEBI, CERT-In, and similar regulators.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
