📌 Key Responsibilities

• Embed security controls throughout the CI/CD pipeline including SAST, SCA, container image scanning, and IaC security scanning gates for client development teams.
• Implement and manage secrets management solutions such as HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, or Azure Key Vault to eliminate hardcoded credentials from codebases and pipelines.
• Configure and operate container security tooling including image vulnerability scanning (Trivy, Snyk, Aqua), runtime protection, and Kubernetes admission control policies.
• Review and harden Terraform, CloudFormation, and Helm chart configurations using policy-as-code tools such as Checkov, OPA/Conftest, and Terrascan.
• Generate and maintain Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) for client applications and integrate SCA tools to detect and manage open-source software vulnerabilities.
• Develop security guardrails, pre-commit hooks, and automated compliance checks that enforce security standards within developer workflows without blocking productivity.
• Advise client engineering and DevOps teams on shift-left security practices, security champion programmes, and metrics for measuring security debt reduction in delivery pipelines.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.E. or B.Tech in Computer Science or Information Technology with two to seven years of DevOps or security engineering experience, ideally combining both disciplines.
• Hands-on experience securing CI/CD pipelines built on Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps including integration of security scanning stages.
• Proficiency with container security tools such as Trivy, Snyk Container, Aqua Security, or Twistlock for image scanning, runtime protection, and registry policy enforcement.
• Experience with secrets management solutions including HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, Azure Key Vault, or equivalent, and migration of hardcoded secrets from codebases.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code security tools such as Checkov, Terrascan, or KICS for automated security scanning of Terraform, CloudFormation, and Kubernetes manifests.
• Understanding of Kubernetes security hardening including RBAC, network policies, pod security standards, namespace isolation, and OPA/Gatekeeper admission control.
• Relevant certifications such as CKS (Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist), AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, or GIAC Cloud Security Essentials (GCLD) are valued.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
