📌 Key Responsibilities

• Conduct digital forensics investigations on computers, servers, mobile devices, and cloud storage in response to security incidents, data breaches, and insider threat cases.
• Perform forensically sound evidence acquisition using industry-standard tools such as EnCase and FTK, maintaining strict chain of custody and evidence integrity procedures.
• Analyse disk images, memory dumps, file system artifacts, registry hives, and event logs to reconstruct attacker timelines and determine the scope of compromise.
• Conduct memory forensics using Volatility or similar tools to identify malware running in memory, injected processes, and attacker persistence mechanisms.
• Preserve, document, and package digital evidence in accordance with legal and regulatory standards for use in internal investigations or law enforcement referrals.
• Produce detailed forensic investigation reports documenting findings, methodology, evidence examined, and conclusions in a format suitable for legal and executive review.
• Support incident response teams by providing forensic findings that guide containment and eradication decisions during active security incidents.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.E. or B.Tech in Computer Science or Information Technology with one to five years of digital forensics investigation experience.
• Hands-on proficiency with industry-standard digital forensics tools: EnCase Forensic, AccessData FTK, or open-source alternatives such as Autopsy and Sleuth Kit.
• Strong understanding of forensic acquisition principles including write-blocking, bit-for-bit imaging, hash verification, and chain of custody documentation.
• Experience analysing Windows artifact categories including registry hives, prefetch files, LNK files, Windows Event Logs, browser history, and shellbag data.
• Familiarity with memory forensics using Volatility framework for process analysis, network connection inspection, and malware identification in memory dumps.
• Understanding of file system structures (NTFS, FAT, ext4) and ability to recover deleted files, analyse metadata, and interpret file system timestamps.
• Excellent documentation and report writing skills, as forensic findings must meet standards of evidence integrity for legal and regulatory proceedings.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
