📌 Key Responsibilities

• Administer main contracts and subcontract agreements for construction projects including scope, obligations, and payment terms
• Review and negotiate subcontractor contracts, purchase orders, and work orders for civil, MEP, and finishing packages
• Identify, prepare, and submit variation orders and claims to the client in accordance with contract conditions
• Assess and respond to subcontractor claims for additional payment, time extensions, and scope variations
• Support tender preparation including contract terms review, risk register preparation, and bid clarification responses
• Maintain a contract register, claims log, and variation log for all active projects in the company portfolio
• Coordinate with legal counsel for dispute resolution, adjudication, and arbitration proceedings as required

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.E. Civil Engineering; a postgraduate qualification in construction law, contracts management, or an LLB is a strong advantage
• 4-10 years of experience in construction contract administration, claims management, or quantity surveying in a main contractor or project management consultancy
• Sound knowledge of standard construction contract forms including FIDIC, CPWD, NEC, or NIT conditions as applicable in India
• Demonstrated experience in preparing, submitting, and negotiating variation orders and extension of time claims with clients
• Strong knowledge of BOQ measurement, rate analysis, and subcontractor scope definition for civil and MEP packages
• Excellent analytical, writing, and negotiation skills for preparing claim narratives and responding to client correspondence
• Good organisational skills for maintaining contract registers, claims logs, and deadline-critical contract correspondence files
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
