📌 Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble timber or plywood formwork for columns, beams, slabs, and walls as per construction drawings
• Set column boxes, beam bottoms, and slab centering accurately to structural dimensions and alignment requirements
• Brace and prop formwork systems to safely carry wet concrete loads during pours without deflection or failure
• Strike and dismantle formwork after concrete achieves minimum stripping strength as directed by the site engineer
• Maintain and repair reusable formwork panels, props, and frames to extend their safe working life
• Inspect formwork assembly for plumb, level, and bracing adequacy before concrete pouring commences
• Follow all safety protocols including PPE usage, scaffold access, and edge protection during formwork operations at height

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• ITI in Carpentry trade or equivalent construction experience with concrete formwork; candidates with substantial site experience and no formal ITI are also considered
• 2-7 years of hands-on formwork carpentry experience in residential, commercial, or infrastructure construction in Coimbatore
• Demonstrated skill in column box setting, beam and slab shuttering, and safe propping system assembly
• Ability to read structural drawings to extract column sizes, beam depths, and slab thickness for formwork dimensions
• Knowledge of timber, plywood, and panel formwork materials and their safe application in concrete construction
• Good understanding of formwork striking criteria and the importance of concrete cube strength before deshuttering
• Physical fitness for working at height on scaffold platforms with full PPE compliance during concrete operations
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
