📋 Job Description

Jobzi is sourcing qualified candidates for Custom Jewellery Design Consultant positions in Coimbatore's private Jewellery Showroom sector. 📌 Key Responsibilities

• Consult with customers to understand their bespoke jewellery requirements, budget, and design preferences
• Create jewellery designs using CAD/CAM software such as JewelCAD, RhinoGold, or equivalent
• Produce hand sketches or digital concept illustrations for initial customer approval
• Coordinate with the manufacturing team for wax model preparation and 3D printing of approved designs
• Guide customers in stone selection including diamond quality, colour, and shape for custom pieces
• Prepare design cost estimates covering gold weight, making charges, stone costs, and other charges
• Manage customer approval process including revisions, wax try-ons, and final design sign-off

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduate in Jewellery Design, Fine Arts, or equivalent; or diploma in Jewellery Design from a recognised institution
• One to four years of bespoke jewellery design or design consultancy experience
• Proficiency in JewelCAD, RhinoGold, or equivalent jewellery-specific CAD software
• Strong hand sketching and concept visualisation skills for quick customer consultations
• Knowledge of gold and platinum manufacturing processes to design within production feasibility
• Good understanding of diamond and gemstone selection for custom design integration
• Patient and creative communication skills to translate customer ideas into viable jewellery designs
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.

🏆 Certifications and Qualifications

Graduate or 12th pass for retail sales and customer service roles; BHM or Diploma in Retail Management for showroom operations; GIA Graduate Gemologist or GIA Diamonds certificate for diamond grading roles; Hallmarking awareness and BIS guidelines for quality and assurance roles; Tally for accounts roles in jewellery business; ITI Goldsmithing trade certificate for karigar/goldsmith roles; knowledge of 22-karat, 18-karat, and 916 hallmark standards for all floor staff; familiarity with TN VAT, GST on gold, and making charges for billing roles
