📌 Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a product engineering team of six to fifteen software engineers, QA engineers, and DevOps professionals.
• Own engineering delivery for one or more product areas, ensuring sprint commitments, quality standards, and release timelines are consistently met.
• Provide technical mentorship, career coaching, and performance feedback to team members through regular one-on-ones and structured reviews.
• Drive hiring decisions for the team including sourcing, interview design, candidate evaluation, and offer recommendation.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to refine engineering estimates, surface technical risks, and define team-level OKRs.
• Oversee architectural decisions within the team's domain, reviewing system designs and guiding engineers toward scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Build a high-performance team culture characterised by psychological safety, continuous learning, and engineering excellence.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.E./M.Tech in Computer Science or IT with eight to sixteen years of software engineering experience including at least two to three years in an engineering management or tech lead role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage, grow, and retain a team of senior and mid-level software engineers.
• Strong technical foundations: ability to review code, evaluate system designs, and make informed architectural guidance decisions.
• Experience owning engineering delivery in an agile product environment including sprint planning, roadmap contribution, and milestone management.
• Track record of developing team members' careers through structured mentorship, feedback, and opportunities for growth.
• Proven ability to partner effectively with product management, design, and senior engineering leadership in a cross-functional product organisation.
• Experience conducting technical interviews and building hiring pipelines that attract and retain strong engineering talent.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
