📌 Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth fundamental research on assigned equity sectors and companies to support portfolio investment decisions
• Build and maintain detailed financial models including DCF, comparable company analysis, and sum-of-parts valuation for coverage universe
• Track earnings releases, management commentary, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic developments affecting covered sectors
• Prepare comprehensive equity research notes, investment theses, and stock recommendation reports for the fund management team
• Attend company management meetings, analyst days, and investor conferences to gather primary research insights
• Monitor portfolio holdings within the assigned sector and flag material changes in fundamentals or valuation to the fund manager
• Contribute to monthly and quarterly portfolio review presentations prepared for investment committee meetings

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Walk me through a DCF valuation you have built for a listed Indian company.
• How do you determine the intrinsic value of a company with negative earnings?
• Explain your research process when initiating coverage on a new sector.
• What macroeconomic indicators do you track most closely for Indian equity markets?
• How do you differentiate between a structural growth story and a cyclical recovery in equities?
• Describe a stock recommendation you made that was adopted by a fund manager.
• What is the difference between EV/EBITDA and P/E valuation multiples and when do you use each?
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
