📌 Key Responsibilities

• Analyse government securities, corporate bonds, money market instruments, and other fixed income securities for fund portfolio inclusion
• Build and maintain bond valuation models including YTM, duration, convexity, and spread analysis for the coverage universe
• Monitor RBI monetary policy, yield curve movements, liquidity conditions, and credit rating changes affecting fixed income markets
• Prepare credit research notes on issuers in the corporate bond universe and recommend credit exposure limits to the fund manager
• Track daily bond market developments, new issuances, and secondary market trades relevant to AMC debt fund portfolios
• Support fund managers in constructing and rebalancing debt fund portfolios based on duration targets and credit mandates
• Contribute to monthly investment committee presentations covering debt market outlook and portfolio positioning

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Explain the relationship between bond prices and interest rates.
• How do you calculate modified duration and why is it important for a debt fund portfolio manager?
• What is the difference between a AAA-rated and AA-rated corporate bond in terms of risk and yield?
• How do RBI repo rate changes affect G-Sec yields and debt fund NAVs?
• Describe how you would construct a credit research note for an infrastructure sector bond issuer.
• What is a yield curve inversion and what does it signal about the economy?
• What fixed income Bloomberg functions do you use regularly in your analysis?
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
