📌 Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the entire housekeeping department including rooms, public areas, laundry, and linen sections.
• Develop and implement housekeeping SOPs, quality checklists, and training programmes for all housekeeping staff.
• Prepare and manage the annual housekeeping budget covering labour, chemicals, guest supplies, and linen replacement.
• Conduct periodic room and public area audits to ensure compliance with brand standards and guest satisfaction targets.
• Manage recruitment, scheduling, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions for the housekeeping team.
• Coordinate with engineering for planned maintenance, deep cleaning schedules, and room renovation projects.
• Review guest satisfaction scores and feedback related to housekeeping and implement corrective action plans.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Degree in Hotel Management (BHM or BHMCT) from an IHM-affiliated or recognised university.
• 7 to 15 years of progressive housekeeping experience with at least 3 years as Housekeeping Manager or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, laundry management, linen control, and chemical procurement.
• Proficiency in hotel property management systems (Opera, IDS, or similar) for room status and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large teams, control costs, and maintain high guest satisfaction scores.
• Knowledge of fire safety regulations, FSSAI guidelines applicable to housekeeping, and green hotel practices.
• Good command of English for preparing reports, SOPs, and communication with international guests and senior management.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
