📋 Job Description

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Supervise F&B service staff across restaurant, bar, banquet, or in-room dining outlets during assigned shifts.
• Conduct pre-shift briefings covering menu specials, guest feedback, occupancy, and service standards for the team.
• Monitor floor service quality, table turnover, upselling performance, and guest satisfaction during service.
• Train junior stewards and captains on SOPs, service etiquette, product knowledge, and POS system usage.
• Handle guest complaints at supervisor level and escalate complex issues to the F&B Manager.
• Ensure mise en place standards, buffet setup quality, and outlet presentation meet the hotel's brand requirements.
• Monitor daily F&B revenue figures, void transactions, and cover counts and report to the F&B Manager.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Hotel Management degree (BHM or BHMCT) with specialisation in F&B Service from an IHM-affiliated institute.
• 2 to 6 years of progressive F&B service experience in a hotel with at least 1 year in a team lead or captain role.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service techniques, menu composition, and beverage pairing.
• Proficiency in restaurant POS systems such as Micros, Lightspeed, or similar for billing and order management.
• Leadership and team motivation skills to manage diverse F&B service teams across multiple outlets.
• Good English communication for interacting with hotel guests and preparing shift reports for management.
• Willingness to work split shifts, evenings, weekends, and festival periods as required by hotel F&B operations.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
