📌 Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of the commercial vehicle fleet from acquisition and commissioning to disposal
• Plan and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximise fleet uptime
• Conduct total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis per vehicle type and identify cost reduction opportunities
• Manage relationships with vehicle OEMs, authorised service centres, and tyre vendors
• Negotiate and manage fleet tyre, fuel, and spare parts supply contracts
• Monitor fleet telematics data for vehicle health, driver behaviour, and usage patterns
• Oversee fleet compliance including fitness certificate, permit, insurance, and PUC renewals
• Prepare monthly fleet cost, uptime, and asset utilisation reports for senior management

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Have you managed the full lifecycle of a commercial vehicle fleet in a transport company?
• Do you have experience conducting total cost of ownership analysis and identifying fleet cost reduction opportunities?
• Have you planned and overseen preventive and predictive maintenance programs for a large commercial fleet?
• Do you have experience managing OEM service centre and tyre vendor relationships and contracts?
• Are you familiar with fleet telematics platforms and using data for vehicle health and driver behaviour analysis?
• Have you managed fleet compliance including fitness certificate, insurance, and permit renewal calendars?
• Can you prepare fleet cost and asset utilisation reports for senior management review?
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.

🏆 Certifications and Qualifications

Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence (HMV) for truck and bus driver roles; Light Vehicle Driving Licence (LMV) for car and van driver roles; badge (permit card) from RTO for commercial vehicle drivers; knowledge of Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicles Act and CMVR for transport coordinator roles; Diploma or Graduate for operations and coordinator roles; GPS fleet tracking software familiarity for fleet supervisor roles; knowledge of e-way bill and lorry receipt documentation for dispatch roles; Graduate or MBA for transport manager and operations head roles
