📌 Key Responsibilities
- Manage the fresh fruits, vegetables, and organic produce section of the store
- Assess incoming fresh produce quality at receiving dock and reject substandard stock
- Arrange and display fresh produce attractively to maximise visual appeal and sales
- Monitor temperature and cold storage conditions to maintain freshness standards
- Implement daily rotation of produce to minimise spoilage and wastage
- Track fresh produce shrinkage and wastage and report daily figures to the department head
- Assist customers in selecting produce and guide them on seasonal availability and pricing
🎓 Qualifications and Requirements
- 10th or 12th pass from a recognised board
- Hands-on experience in handling fresh fruits, vegetables, or perishable goods
- Ability to assess produce quality and freshness based on visual and tactile inspection
- Understanding of cold chain requirements and temperature-controlled storage basics
- Physical stamina for handling produce crates and standing for extended periods
- Basic knowledge of seasonal produce availability and pricing in Coimbatore markets
- Prior experience in a fresh produce section of a retail store is an advantage
- Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
