📌 Key Responsibilities

• Appraise gold ornaments and coins pledged by customers for gold loans using standard testing and weighing procedures.
• Determine the loan-to-value ratio and loan amount based on gold purity, weight, and prevailing gold rates.
• Complete customer KYC and gold loan documentation as per bank and RBI guidelines.
• Disburse approved gold loan amounts to customers through cash or account credit.
• Maintain safe custody of pledged gold ornaments with proper tagging, packaging, and vault storage.
• Process loan renewals, partial releases, and full redemptions when customers repay their gold loans.
• Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines on gold loan LTV norms and conduct periodic portfolio reviews.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduate in any stream from a recognised university.
• Zero to three years of experience in gold loan operations, jewellery valuation, or secured lending.
• Knowledge of gold purity testing methods including acid test, XRF testing, and touchstone methods.
• Familiarity with RBI guidelines on gold loan LTV norms and KYC requirements.
• Attention to detail in maintaining records of pledged gold and loan accounts.
• Basic computer skills for entering loan transactions in core banking systems.
• Candidates from gold loan NBFC backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
