- Analyze loss ratios, claim frequencies, and severity trends to support premium rate reviews
- Develop risk segmentation models for underwriting and pricing precision using statistical methods
- Benchmark product pricing against competitor rates using market intelligence and pricing surveys
- Support product filing with actuarial pricing notes, rate schedules, and benefit illustrations
- Conduct experience studies on mortality, morbidity, lapse, and expense for assumption updates
- Prepare pricing presentations for management approval and IRDAI regulatory submissions
🎓 Qualifications and Requirements
- B.Sc. Statistics/Mathematics, MBA in Finance, or actuarial exam passes (IAI CT series) with 3-7 years experience
- Proficiency in R, Python, or SAS for statistical analysis and pricing model development
- Strong knowledge of actuarial pricing concepts: GLM, credibility theory, and frequency-severity models
- Experience with insurance data extraction, cleaning, and analysis from policy admin systems
- Understanding of IRDAI product regulations and actuarial certification requirements
- Good Excel/VBA skills for pricing workbook development and scenario modeling
- Actuarial exam progress (minimum 3-5 IAI exams passed) strongly preferred
- Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
