📌 Key Responsibilities

• Conduct risk-based internal audits of bank branches covering credit, operations, KYC compliance, and cash management.
• Perform concurrent audits at high-transaction branches to identify real-time control exceptions and compliance gaps.
• Review loan files for credit appraisal quality, security documentation adequacy, and post-disbursement monitoring.
• Assess branch operations for adherence to internal controls, dual custody norms, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, root cause analysis, risk classification, and corrective recommendations.
• Follow up with branch and operations teams to ensure timely resolution of audit observations.
• Coordinate with statutory auditors and RBI inspection teams during external audit exercises.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• CA, CMA, or Graduate in Commerce with internal audit specialisation.
• Two to seven years of experience in bank internal audit or concurrent audit.
• Strong understanding of credit appraisal norms, operations controls, and KYC compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with risk-based audit methodology and audit report writing standards.
• Knowledge of IS audit basics including CBS controls, access management, and data integrity checks.
• Attention to detail and the ability to identify control weaknesses and assess their risk impact.
• CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) certification is an advantage for senior audit roles.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
