📌 Key Responsibilities

• Classify and catalogue technical books, journals, and reference materials using Dewey Decimal Classification suited for engineering diploma libraries
• Manage library management software for book issue, return, renewal, and catalogue maintenance
• Handle periodical subscriptions and maintain bound volumes of technical journals relevant to diploma programmes
• Conduct periodic stock verification and manage damaged book replacement processes
• Assist students and faculty in locating reference materials and textbooks prescribed by DOTE and SBTET syllabus
• Maintain library for accreditation and inspection readiness under DOTE norms
• Record and report daily circulation statistics and maintain attendance and issue registers

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.Lib.Sc. (Bachelor of Library Science) from a recognized university
• 0 - 3 Years of library experience in a polytechnic or technical institution preferred
• Knowledge of Dewey Decimal Classification for technical and engineering subjects
• Proficiency in library management software such as KOHA or equivalent
• Good computer skills for maintaining catalogue, circulation records, and reports
• Familiarity with DOTE-prescribed textbooks and reference materials for diploma engineering subjects
• Punctual, organized, and capable of independent management of the library during working hours
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
