📌 Key Responsibilities

• Conduct neonatal assessments at home including weight, temperature, oxygen saturation, and feeding evaluation
• Assist parents with kangaroo mother care positioning and breastfeeding or top-up feeding techniques
• Manage nasogastric tube feeding for preterm or low birth weight babies as prescribed
• Monitor neonates for jaundice, apnea, feeding difficulties, and signs of infection
• Educate parents on newborn hygiene, umbilical cord care, safe sleep practices, and immunisation schedule
• Coordinate with the neonatologist or paediatrician for care plan updates and escalation decisions
• Respond to home emergencies involving neonates by stabilising and arranging transport
• Document all visit findings including growth parameters and feeding logs accurately

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Do you have NICU or neonatal care experience from a hospital setting?
• Are you trained in neonatal assessment including weight monitoring and oxygen saturation evaluation?
• Can you manage nasogastric tube feeding and kangaroo care for preterm babies at home?
• Have you educated new parents on breastfeeding, cord care, and newborn hygiene?
• Are you comfortable monitoring neonates for jaundice, apnea, and infection signs at home?
• Do you know the escalation protocol when a neonate deteriorates during a home visit?
• Are you willing to visit neonatal patients in the early morning and evening across Coimbatore zones?
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.

GNM or B.Sc.
