📌 Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain next-generation firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Check Point) for clients, including policy management, rule review, and firmware updates.
• Configure and monitor IDS/IPS solutions to detect and block malicious network traffic based on current threat signatures and behavioural baselines.
• Design and implement secure network segmentation, VLAN architecture, and demilitarised zones (DMZ) to reduce lateral movement risk in client environments.
• Manage site-to-site and client VPN infrastructure including certificate management, authentication policies, and access controls.
• Analyse network traffic using tools such as Wireshark, NetFlow, and firewall logs to identify anomalies, intrusion attempts, and policy violations.
• Participate in network security architecture reviews, providing recommendations aligned to Zero Trust principles and defence-in-depth strategies.
• Respond to network-layer security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures to avoid recurrence.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.E. or B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electronics and Communication Engineering with one to five years of network security experience.
• Hands-on experience administering enterprise firewalls from at least one major vendor: Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Check Point, or Cisco ASA/Firepower.
• Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing protocols (OSPF/BGP basics), VLANs, and network segmentation design principles.
• Experience configuring and managing IPSec and SSL VPN solutions for site-to-site connectivity and remote access scenarios.
• Familiarity with IDS/IPS platforms such as Snort, Suricata, or vendor-specific solutions integrated with SIEM for centralized alerting.
• CCNA or CCNP Security certification preferred; CompTIA Network+ or Security+ acceptable for entry-level network security positions.
• Ability to read and interpret firewall logs, NetFlow data, and network packet captures to support security incident investigations.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
