📌 Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new vendors for product categories as directed by the category manager
• Create and track purchase orders from issuance through delivery and payment processing
• Support price negotiations with vendors to achieve competitive procurement costs
• Monitor vendor performance against delivery schedules, quality standards, and agreed prices
• Coordinate with the inventory team to align procurement schedules with stock replenishment needs
• Match GRNs with vendor invoices and coordinate with accounts for timely vendor payment
• Conduct periodic market price benchmarking for key categories to ensure cost competitiveness

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduate in Commerce, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management
• One to four years of procurement or purchasing experience in a retail or FMCG company
• Proficiency in procurement ERP modules such as SAP MM, Oracle Procurement, or equivalent
• Strong negotiation and vendor communication skills
• Understanding of category procurement planning and purchase order lifecycle management
• Accuracy in GRN-to-invoice matching and procurement documentation
• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certification is an advantage
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
