📌 Key Responsibilities
- Manage proportional and non-proportional reinsurance treaty arrangements for life or general insurance portfolio
- Process facultative reinsurance for large and complex risks exceeding treaty capacity
- Prepare cession statements, premium bordereaux, and loss bordereaux for treaty reinsurers
- Coordinate reinsurance recoveries on large claims from treaty and facultative reinsurers
- Monitor IRDAI reinsurance regulations including mandatory cession to GIC Re
- Maintain reinsurance program documentation, treaty slips, and correspondence with reinsurers
- Prepare reinsurance performance reports including combined ratio, treaty loss development, and commissions
🎓 Qualifications and Requirements
- B.Com/MBA in Finance or FIII from Insurance Institute of India with 3-8 years reinsurance experience
- Good understanding of proportional (quota share, surplus) and non-proportional (XL, stop loss) treaty structures
- Knowledge of IRDAI reinsurance regulations and mandatory GIC Re cession requirements
- Experience preparing cession statements, bordereaux, and reinsurance accounts
- Familiarity with Lloyd's market, international reinsurers (Munich Re, Swiss Re, Gen Re) and local brokers
- Strong analytical skills for treaty performance monitoring and loss development analysis
- Excellent documentation and communication skills for reinsurer correspondence
- Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
