📌 Key Responsibilities

• Receive cash, cheque, card, UPI, and digital wallet payments from customers for jewellery purchases
• Count and verify high-denomination currency notes accurately for all cash transactions
• Process gold scheme advance deposits, EMI instalments, and advance booking payments
• Issue stamped cash receipts and coordinate with the billing team for invoice generation
• Reconcile daily cash collection against billing system totals at shift end
• Report any suspicious or counterfeit currency to the senior cashier or store manager immediately
• Maintain a neat and secure cashier counter and petty cash register throughout the shift

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures for high-value transactions
• Basic knowledge of cheque processing and demand draft acceptance norms
• Accuracy and speed in counting and verifying currency notes without error
• Good understanding of digital payment modes including UPI, NEFT, and card payments
• Integrity and trustworthiness essential for handling high-value jewellery cash collections
• Prior cashiering experience in a retail, banking, or high-value consumer environment is preferred
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.

Graduate or 12th pass for retail sales and customer service roles; BHM or Diploma in Retail Management for showroom operations; GIA Graduate Gemologist or GIA Diamonds certificate for diamond grading roles; Hallmarking awareness and BIS guidelines for quality and assurance roles; Tally for accounts roles in jewellery business; ITI Goldsmithing trade certificate for karigar/goldsmith roles; knowledge of 22-karat, 18-karat, and 916 hallmark standards for all floor staff; familiarity with TN VAT, GST on gold, and making charges for billing roles
