• Lead a team of 5 to 12 embedded engineers and manage sprint planning and code reviews
• Establish coding standards, static analysis gates, and CI/CD pipelines for firmware builds
• Make key technology decisions on RTOS selection, toolchain, and bootloader strategy
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and conduct technical interviews for new hires
• Communicate technical progress and risks to project managers and product owners
• Drive root cause analysis for critical firmware defects found in field deployments

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• How do you architect firmware for a product that must support both FreeRTOS and Linux embedded builds?
• Describe your approach to establishing a CI/CD pipeline for embedded C firmware using Jenkins and QEMU.
• How do you manage technical debt in a multi-year embedded firmware product codebase?
• What strategies do you use to ensure coding standard compliance across a team of 8 engineers?
• How do you prioritise firmware features and bug fixes when the team is under delivery pressure?
