📌 Key Responsibilities

• Conduct authorised vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on client web applications, mobile APIs, internal networks, and cloud environments.
• Perform manual and automated testing for OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities including SQL injection, XSS, IDOR, broken authentication, and security misconfigurations.
• Use tools such as Burp Suite, Nmap, Nessus, and Metasploit to enumerate targets, identify vulnerabilities, and demonstrate exploitability within defined test scope.
• Document findings in detailed VAPT reports with clear vulnerability descriptions, risk ratings (CVSS), proof-of-concept evidence, and remediation recommendations.
• Conduct retesting engagements to verify that client teams have successfully remediated previously identified vulnerabilities.
• Perform API security testing and thick client application assessments in addition to standard web and network testing engagements.
• Stay current with the latest vulnerability disclosures, CVEs, and attack techniques to ensure testing methodology reflects the current threat landscape.

🎓 Qualifications and Requirements

• B.E. or B.Tech in Computer Science or Information Technology with one to five years of hands-on VAPT experience.
• CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) certification is required for most positions; OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional) is strongly preferred for senior VAPT roles.
• Demonstrated ability to perform manual web application penetration testing beyond automated scanner output, identifying business logic and authentication flaws.
• Working knowledge of common VAPT toolsets including Burp Suite Professional, Nmap, Nessus or OpenVAS, Metasploit, and SQLMap.
• Understanding of network protocols, firewall architectures, and Active Directory environments to support internal network penetration testing.
• Ability to write clear, professional VAPT reports tailored to both technical and executive audiences with actionable remediation guidance.
• Awareness of testing scope management, rules of engagement, and professional ethics governing authorised penetration testing engagements.
• Good Tamil and English communication skills for team coordination and client interaction in Coimbatore.
